On last night’s suspenseful 'American Idol' results show, the Top 12 finalists for the record-breaking sixth season were revealed as four semifinalists – two guys and two girls – were eliminated from the competition.
The semifinalists who went home after receiving the fewest votes were Jared Cotter, Sundance Head, Sabrina Sloan, and thankfully, Antonella Barba.
According to DialIdol.com , a website that monitors busy signals of each Idol contestant, Melinda Doolittle is the runaway favourite this week among both guys and gals with nearly 20% of the vote. Lakisha Jones follows close behind.
Also on last night’s show, which marked Idol’s milestone 200th episode, Season Four winner Carrie Underwood performed her new single, 'Wasted.'
