Bumbershoot organizers announced a partial lineup of artists on the fest's Web site on Wednesday. From The Walkmen to dance-party machines Chk Chk Chk (!!!), indie-rockers Blitzen Trapper, Jakob Dylan, Final Fantasy and Del Tha Funky Homosapien, Bumbershoot has once again gathered a very eclectic group of artists.
Also confirmed to play are Lucinda Williams, Ingrid Michaelson, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Saul Williams, John Vanderslice, Dan Deacon, Tim Finn, Bedouin Soundclash and M. Ward, who collaborates with Zooey Deschanel as She & Him.
Bumbershoot will take place from August 30-September 1 at Seattle's City Center. The "Arts" portion of the festival will be represented by puppeteer Basil Twist and choreographer Joe Goode performing "Wonderboy," authors William Gibson, Dan Clowes and Adrian Tomine will be there, and a stage for comedy acts. The lineup of comedians was not available at press time.
You can get three-day passes now at Bumbershoot.org.
