Christina Silva, Dethroned Miss California Files Lawsuit
Christina Silva sues the Miss California USA pageant today for $500,000 for stripping her title after four days later of winning the beauty pageant. Silva was crowned the winner last November in Beverly Hills, only to be stripped of her title four days later because of a mistake in tabulating the votes. I think that’s so lame, imagine how the poor girl feels. She should really sues for more money and I hope she wins the case!

Christina Silva filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging negligence, fraudulent concealment and misrepresentation, false advertising and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Silva, a Latina, also alleges a violation of her civil rights via the pageant’s alleged decision that the contestant who should win the crown should not be of her race and ethnicity.

Silva lists damages of at least $500,000 and also names as defendants Miss California USA 2008 state pageant director Keith Lewis, K2 Productions, which produced the pageant, and the Miss Universe Organization. - ktla
