Look Who's Headed For Splitsville

Love sure doesn't last long in Hollywood.  While the average person's chances at a successful marriage are a dismal one-in-two, it seems that celebs stand an even worse chance of making it to their golden anniversary. So, which current lovebirds seem to be headed for membership in the Lonely Hearts Club next?

As the old saying goes, where there's smoke there's bound to be fire.  And there's sure a lot of smoke around Courteney Cox and David Arquette's seven year marriage right now.  The couple is adamantly denying reports that their union is in trouble, but their separate lives aren't exactly a positive sign in their marriage.  According to insiders, the couple maintains separate friends and interests.  Our advice to baby Coco's parents: opposites might attract, but eventually you have to find some common ground.

Another celebrity couple with a lot of buzz around them lately is Nicole Richie and rocker Joel Madden.  The Surreal Life star and her Good Charlotte singer boyfriend seem to be getting along swimmingly.  There's talk of them moving in together and they even spent some time looking at engagement rings a few weeks back.  

Of course, Joel did just break up with ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff back in November.  And Nicole broke off her engagement to Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein not so long ago, as well. With both Nicole and Joel on the rebound, their fast-tracked couplehood could be headed for disaster.  If Joel's recent fights with paparazzi are any indicator, this is one high octane relationship.

Last but not least on our radar is the recently single Ryan Phillippe and his supposed fling du jour Ashlee Simpson. You don't have to be Nostradamus to predict that this fledgling relationship is bound to crash and burn. After all, what will they talk about when they get past the fact that they're both hot blondes?  It certainly won't be about either of their careers!
