Welcome home, Foxy Brown! Da Ill Nana breaks out of jail today and we, at Dotspotter, wanted to be the first to send our congrats on surviving Rikers. The female rap star was sentenced back in September 2007 for violating her probation which stemmed from a fight Ms. Brown was involved in with 2 manicurists in a New York City nail salon. It just goes to show…don't get between a girl and her acrylic tips or there'll be hell to pay! I doubt Foxy will have any trouble forgetting about jumpsuits and gruel and getting back to caviar and lace. Dotspotter star blogger, showbiznews, has more…
Former jailed rap star Foxy Brown will be released from a New York City jail on Friday. Brown — real name Inga Marchand — has been incarcerated in New York’s Riker’s Island prison since September, when she was handed a 12-month sentence for breaking her parole conditions. Her attempts to secure an early release in January failed when a judge rejected her claims she needed treatment in Los Angeles California for an ongoing ear condition. But Brown’s manager Chaz Williams has now confirmed the 31-year-old will be freed on Friday, after a less-than-pleasant time locked up. He tells Billboard.com, “She did every single minute of her bid in jail, and she did it under the most severe conditions. They had her on continuous lockdown just because she is a celebrity. They were trying to break her spirit.”
