The actress was photographed enjoying a romantic beach break with her husband Laurence Fox this week.At one point she curled her legs protectively in front of her belly, then rested her hand on it while strolling on the beach.
Miss Piper, 25, might simply have had a large lunch and been trying to settle her stomach - which was hardly bulging, after all.
But her actions set tongues wagging among other holidaymakers. The fact she was sharing some very tender moments with her new husband, who is 29, will have only added to the speculation.
A friend of the former Doctor Who star said recently: "Billie is one of four children and Laurence has a huge extended family.
"Her dream is her, Laurence and a big brood of kids running around barefoot in their Sussex home with chickens. "One of the reasons she and Laurence married just a few months after meeting was because Billie was already feeling broody and wanted to be in wedlock when she started a family." source
