Rebecca Romjin is reportedly quitting Ugly Betty after the current second season, claiming new writers on the show have wrecked her character.
Rebecca stars as Alexis Meade and has been a regular cast member since appearing in the first season. While a third series has already been approved, Romjin will only return for guest appearances, hinting a falling out with the new writing staff has occurred. She told NYpost.com's Pop Wrap:
"They made a tremendous amount of changes, especially with the writing staff (during the writer's strike). And while I know I'll be coming back next season, with all the changes, I'm not sure they can take care of my character they way they have been. So I'll be leaving, back in a recurring capacity, but time for me to leave and find something else".
Wow, what a big mistake for her to leave one of the best shows on TV right now. I wonder what the new changes are! Yikes!
Did you watch last night's episode? I wasn't surprised that Henry screwed up Betty's birthday - poor girl! How cute is Gio? I can't wait to see them hookup - I'm over Betty and Henry now.
