This Is How Fairy Tales Die: On Divorce Court, With Disgruntled 70's Sitcom Stars

Ah, young love. So fleeting, so fickle, so ripe for exploitation on reality television. I had such high, high hopes for Gary Coleman and his Brobdingnaggian bride, and what was so obviously their true, true love. That that love should end up shattered and scattered across the soundstage of Divorce Court, well... let's just say that my faith in romance is now somewhat diminished.

Apparently, Gary and Shannon Price, his wife of only some months, are splitting up, and have just finished taping an episode of Divorce Court in which she accuses him of temper tantrums and toy train obsessions. He "stomps the floor and yells, 'Meehhhh,' and starts throwing stuff around," she announces in the episode. "...He bashes his head in the wall, too." She also claims that Coleman prefers his train set to her.

Which, apart from the head-bashing part, sounds just like my toddler. I would say that that explains everything, except that I very seriously doubt that this marriage and divorce has been anything other than a PR exercise to begin with. I mean, really. She's bigger than him, and is an star eBay auctioneer. If she was really that pissed, she could just sell him off and FedEx him to the highest bidder. Waaaay more lucrative than Divorce Court, I'm guessing.
