Gretchen Wilson should be proud of herself because she finally has her GED as she recently passed her General Educational Development exam in April, according to the Associated Press.
Although her single "Redneck Woman" earned a 2005 Grammy award and her debut album sold $4.5 million copies, she had been one of the 20 percent from Tennessee without a high school diploma.
Gretchen will be proudly sporting a cap and gown when she appears at her graduation on May 15. She had said that her 7-year-old was her inspiration:
"I certainly don't want her to think you can be this successful without an education."
Well, it's obvious in her case that one can be successful without a formal education, but education is still important. Congrats to Gretchen!
