Megan Fox is banned for life from Wal-Mart

Not that she probably cares anymore, but newly minted “Sexiest Woman in the World” Megan Fox, who has starred in exactly one hit movie and is the new “It” girl, has reportedly been banned for life from a Florida Wal-Mart where she shoplifted as a rebellious teen. The standard policy of the chain store is that once you’re caught stealing there, you are persona non grata for life — even if you become a major movie star. That’s some tough love right there.

Actress MEGAN FOX has reportedly been banned from a supermarket in her hometown - after she was caught shoplifting there as a child.

The National Enquirer claims 21-year-old Fox was caught stealing make-up from a Florida branch of the Wal-Mart during her rebellious teenage years. And the incident has now seen her banned from the store.

A friend of the star tells the tabloid, “Megan (Fox) was quite a rebel growing up. She thought she could get away with anything, and definitely had sticky fingers. “She would pocket things like candy and gum from convenience stores, but Megan’s shoplifting days were quickly put to an end when she got busted for heisting a $7 tube of lipgloss from Wal-Mart.

“At first, Megan denied it. Even after they told her they caught her on surveillance video, Megan still tried talking her way out of it. But when they threatened to call the police, Megan broke down in tears and confessed.”

When approached for comment, Fox’s spokesperson refused to confirm or deny the claim.

I think we know what that means: she totally did it. But come on, she was a kid, and it was a tube of lip gloss. I’m all for consequences and accountability, but it’s not like she was Winona Ryder or something. It was a small offense and the first of many bad choices for young Megan: those hideous tattoos, the washed-up 90210 boyfriend, turning down the role of Wonder Woman… I’d say those decisions are more worthy of being banned from Hollywood for life.

Megan Fox is shown on 12/9/07 at Hollywood Life Magazine’s 7th Annual Breakthrough of the Year Awards, thanks to PRPhotos.
