Whatever the lure, John Mayer is giving the pics of him and Jennifer Aniston frolicking on a Miami beach a "double thumbs up," according to the Associated Press.
"You know what I did?" said Mayer, when asked Monday night about the fun photos of the two who hit the town together during the last week of April. "I looked at it and I said, 'That's about right.' What am I going to say, 'That's not me'?"
The singer has been mum about his romance with Aniston on his own blog. But at the Met's Costume Institute Gala gala in New York on Monday, Mayer was happy to tell reporters, "You carry on and you enjoy yourself and you continue to live with dignity and everyone has fun."
He also stressed that all the attention was just a blip in the grand scheme of things, telling Entertainment Tonight, "Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control. This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don't fault him."
"There are much worse problems in the world," he added. "Everything's cool!"
