Indiana Jones star Shia LaBeouf wanted to leave his successful acting career to become a rap star, but he gave up when he realized it “wasn’t his forte”.The 21-year-old is a big fan of hip-hop music and its culture, and he was convinced he would be able to copy his idols with the launch of his own rap career. But the Hollywood actor soon discovered he wasn’t as good a lyricist as he’d first thought. He says, “Like every other Jewish guy, I went through a stage of wanting to be black. A few years ago I convinced myself I was a gangsta rapper and I started writing songs.” But I realized it wasn’t my forte.”

  • 1st of all...for people hating on rap..seriously?? i write rhymes and theres alot of heart put into it. and define music please.. isn't music.. lyrics with a chorus or continuous metronome? and theres a lot of culture behind rap... look at the 90's...

    • shut the hell up. i hate stupid ppl like u. y is rap not music? some of it is crap (like soulja boy). but others like Lupe Fiasco and Common are not only great rappers, but poets. maybe if u actually listened to rap music you wouldn't be so...
