Actress Portia de Rossi and TV host Ellen DeGeneres already have their wedding registry up just hours after they learned it would be legal for them to marry. Ally McBeal star Portia and daytime TV star Ellen were two of the first to say they would wed following a landmark ruling in California allowing gay marriage. And here is the online wedding registry to prove it - also giving away their wedding date, less than two months away on July 7. But it shows the stars live a low-key life, asking for very simple, cheap household goods as gifts. “I’m thrilled that the California supreme court overturned the ban on gay marriage,” DeGeneres said in a statement. “I can’t wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we’ll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote. “P.S. I’m registered at Crate & Barrel.”
