Kenny Chesney: ACM’s Entertainer of the Year

Country crooner Kenny Chesney had a winning night in Las Vegas last night.  And it wasn’t at the BlackJack table.

He took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year Award at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.  And in his acceptance speech, the “Don’t Blink” singer thanked his fans for the award, his fourth consecutive win.

“This one is really extra special because long before I had a hit
record, the fans always came to the shows. And I want to thank you guys for voting and for being there for me.”

Following his award, Chesney teamed up with George Strait for a duet performance of their nominated hit “Shiftwork,” much to the delight of the audience.
