Singer Steven Curtis Chapman’s Daughter Killed in Accident

Christian singer Steven Curtis Chapman’s five-year-old daughter, Maria, wa by an SUV driven by her brother. She died later in a Nashville hospital.

The Toyota Land Cruiser was driven by the girl’s teenage brother, said Tennessee Highway Patrol spokeswoman Laura McPherson.

Several members of the Chapman family were said to have witnessed the accident, but the brother did not see the little girl. How sad!

No charges are expected to be filed, as “it looks like a tragic accident,” says McPherson. (more…)
