The original show, created by her late father Aaron Spelling, ran from 1990-2000. In the show’s finale, Donna Martin married her high school sweetheart David Silver, played by Brian Austin Green. A rep for the show said Donna will “own one of the coolest stores in Beverly Hills.” Spelling said she is excited to be working with her longtime friend Jennie Garth, who returns as Kelly Taylor, a counselor at her alma mater, West Beverly High School.
“Donna Martin was such a huge part of my life. It’s going to be so fun to work with Jennie [Garth] again and see where Donna is today,” Spelling said. “When they say you can’t go home again, it’s not true. I’m headed back to the zip code I know best and couldn’t be happier!”
The complete cast was announced earlier this month when Rob Estes joined as the patriarch of the Mills family who moves to Beverly Hills from Kansas. His wife Debbie is played by Lori Loughlin.
