Britney Spears Charity Clothes Auction

This post is about Britney Spears but she has nothing to with it, well, at least not currently.

The fading Pop star still commands attention though. Her song, "Piece Of Me", is ranked at #14, in the world, having been in the "Top 40" for 13 weeks. The song went as high as #6 and was #10 until this week.

Bear in mind that this is not just a USA ranking this is the song's ranking on the world wide popular songs chart.

That's pretty significant considering that she has competition from some far more "together", and dare I say talented performers, such as Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Usher, Lenny Kravitz, Linkin Park, and so forth.

Considering that she hasn't done anything significant professionally in quite a while, and she's been the subject of plenty of adverse publicity, I'd say that's staying power in terms of popularity.

Anyway, the clothing she wore during her guest appearance on the TV show, "How I Met Your Mother" is being auctioned for charity tonight, right after that episode is aired on CBS.

It will be interesting to see how much the items draw in the week long online auction.
