i'm off to see R.E.M.

good evening! i'm about to walk over to the hollywood bowl (since it's literally around the corner) to finally see R.E.M. play live - they're on their accelerate tour to promote the band's new album - which is quite decent (especially the 2nd single hollow man) but of course i'm hoping the boys play a bunch of their old songs (it's the end of the world as we know it (and i feel fine)) too which i'm sure they will! i actually shouldn't be going to a concert - i'm so behind on a bunch of things and this weekend is already jam packed (i'll be covering the MTV movie awards on sunday which should be fun...) but i couldn't pass up the chance to see one of my all-time fave bands playing in my hood (not to mention the major crush i've had on lead singer michael stipe for the longest time) when i get back later i'll do a quick update to this post with a few thoughts about the show (plus i'll possibly be twittering via my blackberry - i'm trying to get into the habit of twittering all the time) popbytes over & out for now...xxoo
