It must be hard to be hot and talented.  But, rapper Ne-Yo sure makes it look easy.  The 28 year old artist has been in the spotlight since 2006 and brought home arm loads of Grammys, American Music Awards, and other shiny statuettes.  And he's kept his cool about him the entire time.



Ne-Yo's name is actually Shaffer Chimere Smith, and those good looks are a combination of his African American and Chinese American background.  But, he's not just a pretty face and a silky voice.  Ne-Yo is also one of the best songwriters in the biz.  His list of clients includes Usher, Mary J. Blige, Celine, Britney, Whitney, and a ton of other first name basis stars.  He even wrote Rihanna's mega-hit "Unfaithful" and Beyonce's "Irreplaceable".  How's that for a resume?

Now, Ne-Yo is taking on the biggest challenge yet.  Giving cred to Lindsay Lohan's singing abilities by writing a song for her upcoming album.  In the meantime, though, he's got his own music to make - launching his third album, called "Year of the Gentleman", this August.
