Reese Witherspoon copes with her divorce with friends, makeup and fasion
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Reese Witherspoon gushes about her galpals and says that her friends with the same shoe size are lucky because she gives away a lot of her shoes. (She has a size 6 and a half foot, and is 5′2″ tall.) She also loves shopping, especially for her characters, and recently purged her closet of all the pink stuff she bought while playing Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde movies.

She adores fashion and makeup, and told a story about how she helped Selma Blair when she was depressed after her divorce by telling her to buy some red lipstick and a sexy dress. That seems to be the way she’s coping with her own divorce from Ryan Phillippe, the father of her two children. She’s fitter and more gorgeous than ever.

Reese says that you never know what’s going to happen and you just can’t plan out your whole life: “The universe constantly reminds you that you’re not in control. You’re not in charge of the whole world. What a revelation!” She does come off as a control freak and it bodes well for her that she’s coming to terms with it.

The photo spread accompanying the article features Reese in gowns that are suitable for the most prestigious of Hollywood events. Not one of them would land her on a questionably-dressed list.
