David Archuleta Signs Record Deal

Are you still mourning David Archuleta’s loss on American Idol? That won’t be the last we hear from the 17 year old singer. Archuleta just signed a record contract and Dotspotter blogger drift82 has the scoop:

No shocker here: David Archuleta has signed a record contract.

“Signing a record contract with 19 Recordings/Jive Records is truly a dream come true,” Archuleta said in a statement. “I’m really excited to start working on everything.”

The 17-year-old fan favorite - who finished second on American Idol this season to David Cook - already has three songs on the Hot 100 chart, including his rendition of “Imagine” and “In This Moment.”

Look for Archuleta’s debut album in the fall. In the meantime, catch the cutie on stage as part of The Idols Live Tour, which kicks off July 1 in Arizona.

Yes, definitely waiting patiently for his album to come out. I have been following his career everywhere I can find. Love this kid like mine.
