Linda Bollea (also known as Linda Hogan) is 48. Her new boyfriend, Charlie Hill, is 19. Now, whether or not you find that kind of age gap skeevy (count me as a yes), I think we can all agree that dating your daughter's old high school chums is grody, and that you increase the grodiness exponentially if this is going on about a hot second after your daughter and her chums leave high school. Yuck.
And it seems the daughter in question feels the same way. Brooke, 20, who as you might remember spoke out earlier this year against her father's hookup with her former BFF, told Yo! on E! of Linda's new romance that she "doesn't like it at all" or condone it. She says she is "totally freaked out."
I would guess so, good LAWD. I mean, it's often difficult enough to deal with your newly-separated parents' new lovers. But when they BOTH see your social circle as their dating pool? "Totally freaked out" doesn't begin to cover how I'd feel about all that. (Note to any of my readers who might also be my parents: take heed. Please to not be dating my friends, thx.)
I know I've been pretty hard on ol' Brooke around here when it comes to her ridiculous internet ramblings about her brother's inability to drive without paralyzing his friends, but I'm solidly Team Brooke on this one. Knock it off, elder Hogans. There are countless millions of eligible single folks out there who aren't your daughter's friends. Look into it.
