After dropping our gossip-roving ear to the ground, we hear that Brit's ditched her girl squad and new love interest in order to attend the birthday party of her soon-to-be ex husband, K-Fed this Saturday (at Pure in case you can drop by).
Britney "has been released by the Promises Malibu Treatment Center after successfully completing their program." And Brit's friend says the twenty-five year old struggling pop diva "is doing fine."
According to celebrity tattles: "Britney will have increased custody (after) demonstrating that she is living the life consistent with the best interest of her children." And while it's probably Brit's odd, failed marriage to fallen backup dancer/serial baby daddy Kevin Federline that drove the "Sometimes I Run" singer to Jack Daniels, he released this statement:
"Kevin and his divorce attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan are very happy and cautiously focused on Britney's rehab follow-through."
But if Brit thinks that forking over $48k to get sober is going to get her boys back, she's got another thought coming as "Federline and Kaplan are not about to return custody to Britney as a reward for her going through Promises."
OK, we sooooo don't get why Brit is even dragging this custody suit into court. How hard can it be to swipe two kids back from a guy who nicknamed himself K-Fed? Hey Brit, we say you two engage in bit of a barter system, Kev hands over the kids and you fork over beer and nuts and a pack of Pokemon trading cards for him and his buds.
Now that Britney has finished her stint in rehab, what's next for the former Queen of Pop? After all, a few missing locks of hair and an awful dependency on free strippers shouldn't be too hard to fix. And do you think she'll release a duet with Justin Timberlake? Now that's something we want to hear.
