Jack Jordan is told to seek psychiatric treatment.

JACK JORDAN, the man convicted of stalking UMA THURMAN, was sentenced to three years probation on aggravated harassment and time served on Monday, and was told that he must seek psychiatric treatment.

Judge GREGORY CARRO issued a five-year order of protection, stating that Jordan cannot go near Thurman or her family.

“I do agree with your attorney that sentencing you to another four months would not protect society," said the judge. "With psychiatric treatment, you will understand these things. It’s important that you understand that your behavior has not been acceptable.”

The 37-year-old Jordan said, "My heart is filled with fear. I felt nothing positive came from it. In my life, I have always strived to follow the letter of the law, but I overstepped those boundaries with Ms Thurman and I am very sorry."

Jordan was accused of following and trying to contact Thurman from early 2005 until late last year, from attempting to approach her on a movie set to calling her parents' home. He pleaded not guilty. His defense lawyers had described him as mentally ill and in need of treatment rather than punishment.

Last month, Uma took the stand in the NY State Supreme Court building, testifying that she felt sickened and terrified by the man accused of stalking her. She was further upset to discover that he'd been in contact with her parents, who also took the stand to testify about his contact with them over the years.
