A multi-million-dollar Long Island home owned by rapper/actor 50 CENT and inhabited by his ex girlfriend burned down early Friday morning under what fire officials called suspicious circumstances, according to the Associated Press.
50 Cent, aka CURTIS JACKSON, does not live at the house and was reportedly not there at the time of the 5 a.m. blaze, but his ex, SHANIQUA TOMPKINS, and their 10-year-old son, MARQUISE, had to be rescued from the blaze and suffered from smoke inhalation, along with four other residents.
A passing off-duty police officer helped rescue the residents and then referred the case to the arson squad due to the suspicious intensity of the fire, which destroyed the house and was put out in about 45 minutes.
The home is the center of a heated lawsuit, in which Tomkins claims Jackson wants to evict her after he had promised to give her the $2.4 million home more than a decade ago.
