The "2008 MTV Movie Awards" are just days away, airing live Sunday night at 8pm/7c at Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheatre, and "The Insider"'s behind the scenes with show exec producer MARK BURNETT to get the inside 411!
"This is the relaxed award show -- sneakers, jeans, T-shirts, leather jackets; whatever it is that they want to do," says the reality show mastermind, adding, "Kids can't wait for this to come on, because they go and see and devour these movies! My kids wouldn't miss 'Indiana Jones,' 'Iron Man,' any 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' 'Juno,' 'Superbad' -- just incredible movies for our generation of young Americans who really are the MTV generation."
MIKE MYERS is hosting the event, so can we expect an appearance by the 'Love Guru' (his new comedy, out June 20)?
"There's a lot of things that Mike has planned [and kept] very close to his vest, and we'll find out," says a cagey Burnett, but he does reveal exclusively to "The Insider," "You cannot miss this show because [he] is going to reveal the secret and weird food fantasies of major motion picture stars!"
As for live musical acts, Burnett says, "COLDPLAY has agreed to play their first live performance of their new song, which is incredible; also [THE] PUSSYCAT DOLLS are doing a huge production number. Two great performances there."
What else can we expect? He reveals only to ET that there will be a "very, very funny" film short by 'Tropic Thunder' stars BEN STILLER, ROBERT DOWNEY JR. and JACK BLACK: "When you see Robert Downey Jr. -- Iron Man himself -- get ahold of that nail gun from 'No Country For Old Men,' oh my god -- an accident about to happen."
