Naomi Campbell Faces Assault Charges

Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL has been charged with assault on a police officer in connection with an incident aboard a plane at London's Heathrow airport last month, Reuters reports. 

Campbell will appear in a London court next month to face three charges: assault on an officer, disorderly conduct, and using threatening, abusive words or behavior to cabin crew, Reuters quotes British authorities as saying. 

Campbell faces up to six months in jail and a maximum fine of $9,862 for the alleged assault. After the incident, The New York-based model was escorted off a U.S.-bound flight after complaining that one of two bags she had checked went missing.
