When it came time for the Cannes Film Fest to hand out its awards on Sunday Night, CLINT EASTWOOD, BENICIO DEL TORO and actress CATHERINE DENEUVE were all recognized.
Del Toro was awarded the best actor prize for his portrayal of revolutionary CHE GUEVARA in STEVEN SODERBERGH's upcoming 'Che.'
"I'd like to dedicate this to the man himself, Che Guevara," said Del Toro in an acceptance speech, according to the Associated Press.
Other notables who picked up awards from a Cannes jury headed by SEAN PENN included director Eastwood ('The Changeling') and actress Deneuve ('Un Conte de Noel'), who each received special recognition for work they screened at the fest.
The top prize, the Palme d'Or, was awarded to French film 'The Class.'

Robert Pattinson announced in Cannes that the fourth book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, will be brought to the big screen. Thoughts?
