"Hannah Montana" fans around the world will surely rejoice to hear the news that filming on the first fictional feature film based on the wildly popular Disney show has already begun!
Of course, Hannah Montana herself MILEY CYRUS will star in the comedy, set to hit theaters in spring of 2009, and will be joined by other series' stars BILLY RAY CYRUS, EMILY OSMENT, JASON EARLES, MITCHEL MUSSO and MOISES ARIAS. Others joining the usual gang will be MELORA HARDIN, MARGO MARTINDALE, BARRY BOSTWICK, PETER GUNN, LUCAS TILL and VANESSA WILLIAMS. The pic was written by DAN BERENDSEN and is being directed by PETER CHELSOM.
The film, which is being shot in Los Angeles and in and around Nashville, follows teen pop princess Hannah as she becomes overwhelmed by her success and goes home to Crowley Corners, Tenn., to experience the simple life.
Miley and Hannah's first foray at the box office, 'Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour,' a concert film, was a smashing success, opening at No. 1.
