'21 Jump Street' Coming to Theaters

"The Insider" confirms the news that 'Superbad' star JONAH HILL is in talks to develop, star in and executive produce a movie version of '21 Jump Street.'

The actor is a departure from the likes of JOHNNY DEPP, who rose to fame playing an undercover cop posing as a high school student in TV series, which ran from 1987-1991.

Best known for his comedic turns in JUDD APATOW films -- Jonah also appeared in 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up' -- this will be the actor's first opportunity to write and produce a feature.

He can currently be seen in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and co-stars in the upcoming comedy, 'This Side of the Truth.'
