"Gossip Girl," "One Tree Hill," "Smallville," "Supernatural," "America's Next Top Model," "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" will all be returning to The CW this fall, it was announced today by DAWN OSTROFF, The CW entertainment president. She also revealed that the network would get a jump on the competition by launching its Fall 2008 schedule early -- on September 1.
New shows being added to the network include the previously announced "90210," a spin-off of "Beverly Hills, 90210;" "Surviving the Filthy Rich," based on the Alloy Entertainment book series How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls; and "Stylista" from TYRA BANKS, which is a reality series based on famed glossy, fashion magazine Elle.
For "90210," it has already been announced that the series' alum JENNIE GARTH will be appearing, but Ostroff announced that several other familiar faces will also be asked to guest star.
As for midseason, the CW picked up 13 more episodes of “Reaper."
As earlier announced, The CW has aligned with Media Rights Capital to program its Sunday night primetime programming block for the 2008-09 broadcast television season. The alliance is expected to produce four new programs -- two comedies and two dramas.
