Time magazine is counting its list of 100 most influential people in the world, and "The Insider" was on hand for tonight's bash in New York City for all the action -- where talk soon turned to BARBARA WALTERS' memoir Audition.
"I'm sure she wrote what she was comfortable with but I'm sure there's stuff she didn't put in the book so she's kept a little something for herself," MATT LAUER said. "But I don't think anything she's written is going to change my opinion of her."
And Barbara's good friend MARTHA STEWART said she hasn't read it yet, but is excited to! "I'm going to have a discussion with [Barbara] about it," she said. "I can't wait."
Presidential candidate JOHN McCAIN, ANJELICA HUSTON, LANCE ARMSTRONG, MATT LAUER, BRIAN WILLIAMS, ETHAN HAWKE, GAYLE KING, TINA FEY, TYLER PERRY, HARVEY WEINSTEIN, ROBERT DOWNEY, JR., LORNE MICHAELS, AMY POEHLER and KENAN THOMPSON were just some of the notables who strolled the red carpet.
