When Scott Baio welcomed new daughter Bailey DeLuca to his family last November, he immediately became a doting father. He and then-fiancee Renee Sloan decided to be married in December. But then things looked bad... Just one day after bringing Bailey home from the hopsital, the parents received a call that Bailey had tested positive for GA-1, a potentially fatal disorder that can cause seizures. Scott says of that time, "It was the worst time in my life. Every breath that you take, every thought you have, every moment that you're conscious, it's all you're thinking about." Scott and Renee went on with wedding plans as if nothing was wrong, but their baby's health was a constant fixture in their minds. The tests to confirm the disorder took ten agonizing weeks to complete. Finally, the doctors said that Bailey was fine - the results from earlier had been a false positive. Bailey is now seven months old and a picture of health!
