'Camp Rock''s Jonas Brothers Vow To Stay Pure

The Jonas Brothers' first TV movie, "Camp Rock," premieres this Friday on the Disney Channel, but the talented trio are making news not only for what they're doing, but for what they aren't doing -- and they aren't alone. Joe, Nick and Kevin have all joined the Hollywood movement of young stars -- which also includes Julianne Hough and Miley Cyrus -- who are just saying no to sex.

"We're not trying to get a message across, it was a private decision that was made public and that's just something that we believe in," Kevin told "The Insider."

"Camp Rock" is the story of Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato, "As the Bell Rings"), an insecure but gifted teen from a working-class family, who wants to share her songs with the world and meets up with a young superstar (Joe Jonas), who has lost his zeal for music. The two teach each other the importance of being true to yourself.

In addition to the three Jonas brothers and Demi, the film stars Alyson Stoner ('Cheaper by the Dozen'), Meaghan Jette Martin ("The Suite Life of Zack and Cody") and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle ("Hannah Montana").

Camp Rock premieres Friday, June 20 at 8 p.m. on the Disney Channel.

  • ok #1 yes i think the Jonas brothers will remain pure... they arent like the normal holly wood stars.. i mean if you read their magazines and stuff i mean they are DIFFERENT! they are Homeschooled christians... and they all have purity rings on there left hand.... ring finger... i thinks its GREAT that they are willing to do this and not be ashamed to do it!!! not alot of teens are raised that way... i Know my parents are raising me the same way!! Im 17 and im following that same path as the Jonas brothers! and PROUD OF IT! and FireNIce12, yes brittney said she was but look at the way SHE DRESSED and ACTED!! there is a BIGG DIFFERENCE between her ACTIONS and the JONAS BROTHERS! and as for miley cyrus... i really dont know because she has done ALOT of the same stuff like Brittney did... so shes hard to tell.... but i say GO NICK JOE AND KEVIN!!! i absolutely love them!!!

  • I think it's amazing that the Jonas Brothers are vowing to stay pure, because I also made that promise. My religion is very important to me, and it's nice to see that I'm not the only teenager holding fast to their religion and values.

  • Well I belive the Jonas Brothers will stay pure. They have a good christian up bringing and plus a good bonded family. Now Miley I don't know. She may stay pure but thats her. Now as for me I am 17, cathlic, andam a virgin! AND I am proud of it!!!!

  • I think that it is awesome that they all made this vow! Its really cool to see other people in the world show how care about what they do with thier bodys! And Its just cool for them to stand up for what they believe in :).
