Naomi Campbell: No Apology for Airline

In a new interview with the U.K.'s Sky News, Naomi Campbell expresses regret over assaulting two police officers at Heathrow Airport in April. The supermodel remains unapologetic, however, to the airline that she claims lost her bags. According to the Associated Press, Campbell accuses British Airways of racism.

Discussing the incident in which she was arrested and escorted off a flight, she tells Sky News: "I was called a racial name on that flight," adding that her aggressiveness toward the police "was part of my reaction." She doesn't disclose who allegedly called her the name, but the AP reports that in the interview, Campbell specifies that the individual was not a passenger.

British Airways responded in a statement that it "does not accept any allegations of racism. … We have strict policies concerning dignity at work and have long-standing training programs on diversity and inclusion."

On Friday, Campbell pled guilty to four charges stemming from her assault of the police officers. She was sentenced to 200 hours community service and ordered to pay $400 to each of the policemen, as well as $300 to the captain of the flight she disrupted and a $4,600 fine.
