"Heather [Locklear] has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment," her rep, Cece Yorke, tells "The Insider." "This is a confidential medical matter and no further statement will be released."

People magazine -- on stands Friday -- reports the actress is in treatment for psychological issues at an Arizona facility.

  • As a mom who has dealt with both depression and severe anxiety, my heart goes out to Ms. Locklear. But There are VERY effective treatments and it is not a life sentence. It's actually completely curable!

    • Isn't aniexty & depressions the worst? I have suffered from it for many years, especially the aniexty piece, and I'm having a down time right now -- any advice?
