There's a new bad guy conspiring to ruin Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) day on the seventh season of '24,' and the scoundrel will be played by none other than Jon Voight! According to the Hollywood Reporter, Voight will slither into the skin of a puppet master orchestrating the series' latest terrorist threat.
The Oscar® winner's character will debut on season seven's two hour prequel (currently shooting in South Africa and set to air on Nov. 23) and will emerge as Bauer's chief adversary in the second half of the season, says the trade paper.
With his turn to the dark side, Voight joins a select circle of big names to portray '24' villains, including Dennis Hopper (Season No. 1's Drazen) and 'Saw''s Tobin Bell (Season No. 2's Kingsley). The 69-year-old star is revered for his performances in films like 'Midnight Cowboy,' 'Deliverance,' and 'Coming Home,' for which he won the Academy Award® for Best Actor in 1978.
