Seth Green has been slated to guest star on the NBC comedy "My Name is Earl," starring Jason Lee, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Green will play a former Make-a-Wish Foundation child, named Buddy Zaks, whose wish of starring in an action movie is ruined by Earl ( Lee). In order to cross Buddy off his list of wrongs committed in the past, Earl must produce the child's dream movie.

"I'm kind of surprised I haven't done this show already," Green told the Reporter. "I've known 90 percent of the people involved for a really long time."

Meanwhile over at CBS,  funnyman Jamie Kennedy will be shifting gears to appear as a regular on the drama "Ghost Whisperer," the Hollywood Reporter said.

Kennedy, who has appeared in various comedies and produced and starred in his prank show "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment," will play a graduate student in psychology who forms a bond with Jennifer Love Hewitt's character Melinda.

Kennedy will come on board just before the departure of Jay Mohr, who has played a professor on "Ghost Whisperer" the past two seasons, but is expected to move full-time to his new CBS comedy series "Project Gary."
