This Thursday, VH1 airs a new, 90-minute rockumentary about Elton John called "Me, Myself and I" that reveals personal interviews and archival footage of the record-shattering pop star, including his high-flying meetings with luminaries like The Beatles and Priness Diana and his rock-bottom battles with drugs and depression.
In between concert films of his most famous anthems from "Rocket Man" to "Someone Saved My Life Tonight," Elton recalls through archival footage and interviews how he struggled with the excesses of fame in the late '80s and '90s, even, at his worst, snorting a line of cocaine every four minutes! After checking himself into rehab, he says he eventually beat his dependency on booze and recreational drugs.
"Elton John: Me, Myself and I" airs at 9 p.m. Thursday on VH1 and VH1 Classic. For a sneak peek, watch tonight's "Insider."
