'The Real Housewives': The O.C. vs New York

The Bravo A-List Awards almost turned into a catfight when "The Real Housewives of New York" took on the network's other "Housewives" series set in Orange County. It seems the rift began because the ladies were unhappy with the script they were given to read as presenters, it is reported by People.

New York housewife BETHENNY FRANKEL told the magazine that the argument was started by O.C. housewife JEANA TOMASINA. Bethenny told People, "They [The O.C. Housewives] said in our material that my apartment is a two-by-four, and it's actually a one-by-two, and so I can take it, I don't care. But they're offended that I'm saying something about them living 65 miles from the beach. Jeana said, 'I don't think that's funny.'"

From there things allegedly went downhill with Bethenny taking one of the "Housewives" to task, but TAMRA BARNEY, who is on the "O.C." version of the show, told People there was more to the story.

"Bethenny scratched me a little bit. I swear to God," Tamra informed the magazine. "She tried to get me from behind and I put my arm up, and she scratched me. I covered it with makeup."

By the end of the evening, the issues had not been resolved, so look for ensuing fireworks, as Tamra boasted to People, "The Housewives of the O.C. can kick the Housewives of N.Y.C.'s ass!"

  • These women all need an as whupping by the husbands...except the countess...they are all jealous of her...and she is great looking and has so much class...and there is no money in the world that can buy class....

  • If you ask me they are all fake. They think they look so good but they don't. These women are 40 years old trying to look 20 again and it is not working. You can see the work ladies.
