Morgan Freeman Released From Hospital

"The Insider" has the latest...

Morgan Freeman has been released from a Memphis hospital after being treated for injuries sustained in a car crash Sunday night in Mississippi. 

The 71-year-old star of 'The Dark Knight' was discharged Thursday after being treated for a broken arm and broken elbow and shoulder injury.  

Freeman released the following statement to ET: “I left the hospital today just after 12 noon, Memphis time. I’m doing very well. I feel real good. I just really, I thank the staff at Elvis Presley (medical facility) and many, many thanks to my many well-wishers. It’s great to know people care about you.”

  • There are women who wait until the man is "down" before applying for divorce -- some of you may remember John DeLoreon and also Roma Downey. There's also someone else wh did that but for the life of me, I cannot remember who that is. I suspect Mrs. Freeman had planned this before the accident but I hear Mr. Freeman wasn't alone. I don't know who the woman was - if she and Mr. Freeman were an item or what the problem is. I think they need counseling or something else; marriage - unless there is abuse involved - is supposed to be forever.

  • I like morgan, always have. i am so shocked to hear he is involved in an affair. he has always seemed so clean cut. the man any woman would love to have, the gentle grandfather. but i now see this is at least the 2nd marrage and 3rd relationship. maybe he is not as clean cut as we think.

  • Divorce is WAY to easy to get now. I was injured seriously/after 35 years wife divorced me. ONLY as a last resort do you take that step NOW for BETTER OR WORSE Noone wins in a divorce and MUCH heart break takes place then forgiveness is the bigger way to go !!!

  • He and his wife have been separated since 2007. Please don't make judgements just because he is moving on with his life. We don't know all of the details and the days of not dating until a divorce is final are long gone.

  • One month before Morgan Freemans's accident, Channel 7's Deco Drive (in Miami) reported that he had been cheating on his wife of 20 years with his wife's best friend, so she's not hitting him when he's down. It wasn't her fault that the information about their pending divorce was let out two days after the accident.
