Common America! you have to have something to say about someone up there. I don't remember Chris winning anything! I didn't hear any of Jenifer's yet. Kelly started with a bang! The only thing I can remember of Kelly or Jenifer is that they played in one movie each. Kelly can sing and has done a few shows along the way. I like that song Kelly made Called "Walk away" or something. Ruben, He made "I'm Sorry" they played that hit over and over on the radio and that was it of Ruben. We started Improving on that song, it turned into "I'm Sorry I ate all the corn chips...And that grey headed guy, what's his name? Oh Taylor Hicks, wow I saw him in a Ford truck camercial, over and over again, then what? I guess his other hit's as Ford means, "Found on road Dead" because I don't see or hear from him. I could swear he lied about his age anyway he might be as old as Kenny Rodgers. I hate that they haven't gone as far as they have as hard as it was to take the fans through the seasons. We just forget they're here sometimes and that shouldn't be. Sometimes I wonder if they win American Idol as if it was just a test on TV, so we can have something to watch at that time? or did they really want to be "StarS"? After all of that hard work from all of the contestants and winners, and from the fans that voted, We diserve More from each of them. They shouldn't just die out. We should hear more from Clay Akin too We put a lot in that show, they need to put out! Kelly was our hope for that show and our First winner. She should be off the roof right now.....She was my favorate.....Thanks for reading. P.S. If you feel voting for them was a waste of time, then Don't forget to vote for the right person to become President of the United States instead that might make up for our lost. Both of them sing circles around that girl, and are good role models.
Clay's run on Broadway was a HUGE success, and his new album will be vocally superior to anything out there.
Carrie is so loved by the country music world, and has grown so much as a singer.-

Kelly has a big mouth, but that does not mean she can out sing everyone. Loud and talented are two different things. She actually yells a lot ! LOL To be fair Jennifer and Fantasia do too, but between the three Jennifer is the strongest vocally because she is more consistent.

I loved Fantasia in Season 3, even predicted she would win after her audition clip aired on the show. But, let's face it, she has some growing to do. She is a little bit hoochie-like. I supported her until she seemed to go off on the deep end. I'm still upset that my husband and I drove all the way to New York to see her in The Color Purple, only to find out she did not show!! What was that all about. And she has a great quality to her voice, so why is she screaming all the time? Her wardrobe is tacky and her conduct is questionable.
Remember the infamous Jamie Foxx kiss? What is going on?!

The poll is a little mixed up isn't it? You have WINNERS (OF American Idol). Fourth place finishers shouldn't be in this poll, that would be Daughtry.
I doubt many Taylor Hicks fans come to this site anyway, after the last time this publication went bonkers and believed (YIKES) a hate blog, LOL. Plus, you have a disgrunted EX boyfriend who uses a screen name to publish HIS gossip and doctored photo's. I doubt anyone considers this site worthy of a visit, I'm here because it was on Google, shame on them! I disagree, the winners were the ones with the most votes, not necessarily the best voices or star-quality. Remember that some of the contestants who were expected to win and never made it to the bottom two in the final rounds had a huge fan base. Try not to be so narrow-minded. Most popular (most votes) does not equal most talented.

Clay Aiken should have been on the list. He just recently left "Spamalot" on Broadway to rave reviews Two days later his new CD "On My Way Here" was released. If you haven't heard it you really should listen to it a few times. It's fantastic! Steely Dan's band played on this CD. The combination of Clay's voice and the band are a blissful piece of Heaven..

There is NO way she is as good as the media tries to say she is. Have seen her live twice, and she was screechy and breathy all the way through. So awkward with the audience too. Only Beautiful Disaster and Since You've Been Gone are good.
Recording studios can do wonders.-
why would you go see Kelly twice live if you thought she was bad? I only had to see Clay once live to know it wasn't worth the money. I suspect they didn't include Carrie and Clay because their fans spam polls so much. Kelly will be losing soon once they start voting against her so no worries

Yeah, and what about Jordin Sparks, Melinda Doolittle and so many other strong talents? Let's not forget that Kelly Clarkson won by default because Tamyra Gray was booted too early (set up). Tamyra was the complete package, but they gave it to Clarkson because she was more marketable. Justin Guarini was not strong enough, so she was sure to win with Tamyra out of the picture.

BO BICE deserves to be. and on the 5th season, why did america choose taylor hicks? i totally didn't like his debut album. the 5th season AI title holder should be CHRIS DAUGHTRY. love his debut album. DAVID COOK's voice is awesome. he's totally a performer. so he is a deserving winner of AI 7th season because he has that quality of voice that an AI should have. not that david archuleta. i doubted it in the first place that david a. will win and i was right. DAVID C is the best. and finally the singer that makes them all AMATEUR, as simon cowell said, KELLY CLARKSON. she deserves to be the most popular and most talented singer right now. i'm a huge fan of her because she puts all of her emotions in her songs and i love when she does that way. you can truly feel her emotions when she's singing. i love all of her songs especially BECAUSE OF YOU and SOBER.

Although I believe that Clay Aiken won AI2 (even an AI executive has publicly admitted that), I want to send my very best wishes to Ruben Studdard and his new bride on their recent marriage. I wish them a lifetime filled with love, happiness and many blessings. I love Ruben's "Luther Vandross-like velvet voice". I hope to hear more of it. :)

Clay was fabulous in Spamalot! To knock actors who do Broadway shows a significant ignorance since these actors are the most talented anywhere. They can do it all...sing, act, dance, do comedy! And Clay proved he can do it all in Spamalot. He is an amazing talent and my favorite American Idol every. I also like Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson. I'm a fan of great talent!

My favorite girl singer is Melinda Doolittle who is not on the poll. She is mega talented and can sing anything! Clay Aiken is my all time favorite male, also not on the poll...no one even comes close to him. He was magnificent in Spamalot and proved to everyone, critics alike, that he can do it all.

No poll can be taken seriously with the obvious admission of Clay and Carrie. What a set up for Kelly. Clay is clearly the best ever, and Carrie is a country superstar.
Kelly was the best choice for Season ONE, although Justin outsang her many nights, but she is NOT the "girl next door" type she depicted on the show. PLEASE! She has had the media fooled from Day One. Great actress.
Her cd voice is good for pop, when she doesn't scream!

Jennifer Hudson no doubt. Just because you win America Idol does not mean you are the best singer or performer. I have not listen to one of Kelly Clarkson song. Honestly I am not a big fan of the show. Making fun of people is not right, the way the show does with those people who know they can't sing. Kelly sounds great on record, but leaves a lot to be desired live. I've seen her twice, last time a couple of yrs ago & she just screeched & tried to be Axel Rose. Yuck! The best 2 voices on that show were Carrie Underwood & Clay Aiken? Why aren't they on this poll? They sound better live than even on their albums.

I think you need to get your ears cleaned out. Kelly is one of the best live vocalists around right now, hence being asked to sing Ava Maria for the Pope last year and knocking it out of the park.

Fantasia's finale performance was definitely the best ever on AI. All the others pale in comparison. She needs a better team of people around her. That around-the-way-girl image has to go. She can do better! Probably too many yes-men around trying to get a little bit of that new money. Hope she hasn't lost it all. She has wasted her potential so far.

I'm partial to the guys, Chris has the most star quality and talent among the men (love that he has great pitch; not many rockers can achieve that). Ruben has the most versatile vocal style and makes it look so easy. Taylor is an acquired taste for many, but I adore him and think he has a wonderful voice and is high-energy entertainment. Please don't count him out.
As for me, I should have been the new AI judge, I have a great ear and eye for talent and have not made a bad call yet! ;-)) LOL
Now for the ladies: I knew Kelly had some powerful chords from day one, her personality is another story. As for the lovely Ms. Jennifer, she has so much potential and what a powerhouse!! My hope for her is that she is surrounded by the right people and that she does not get trapped into trying to prove herself to anyone. She really has a special gift and if nurtured properly she will be a huge star with staying power. So happy for her success and pray she recovers from such a terrible loss. -

To whoever it was that said that Kelly can't sing live...ROFLMAO!! I've never been to a concert in my life where the artist actually sounded better live than on the record more so than Kelly Clarkson. Her vocals live are off the hook!! During the Breakaway era she did 4 tours for one album and it wore on her vocals a bit sounding stressed at times. When you're out there making over $100 million dollars for your label...it can be tiring. She is the most humble and gracious of all the other idols combined.

I have been reading alot of the comments and they are a hoot. Carrie Underwood is a great singer and has won many awards for her talents. Her talent isn't limited to country. If I remember correctly she sang other songs in the competition. She won her title fair and square and I picked her from day one.
So get off her back. she will still be going strong when the others have fallen by the wayside. -
