It is sad that every time a celeb is sent to jail and released early we automatically think that it is because their status... Statistically people are released from jail early for good behavior under this offense. If he was poor would that make u feel better? Yes it is unfortunate that his friend had to go through this but if this were illegal or unconstitutional ( his being released) we would not be having this discussion because it would not have come up. If u have a problem take it up with the judicial system!!!!!

NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE OR WHO YOUR FAMILY IS, YOU DO THE CRIME, YOU DO THE TIME. HE CERTAINLY DESERVES TO DO MORE TIME THAN JUST A FEW MONTHS! Will his sentance was very light to begin with. now they lighten it even more...only in florida. For his community service he should have to serve food to marines in iraq. at his expense. lets see how well he is treated for how he treated a marine.

WITH THIS CASE I DO FEEL SORRY FOR THE FAMILY BUT HE WAS RIDING AND DRIVING AND HAVING FUN RACING THESE CARS. WE NEED TO FIGHT AND KEEP THE DRIVERS THAT ARE DRUNK IN JAIL FOR LIFE I LOST A FRIEND THAT WA BY A DRUNK DRIVER.

I wish he had been sentenced to life, that's what his friend got. These people (Hogans) are celebrity wanna'be's....they haven't done anything that I know of they should be proud of. The dad is washed up, the mother is a tan wrinkled piece of hide, the daughter is just plain dumb and here he is waiting for his "real-ality" show.

Too many times celebrities are given breaks that the average citizen does not receive. He knew he was doing something wrong and had been warned by his parents. He would take the cars without permission. This boy is spoiled and it is his belief that laws do not apply to him and/or his actions. I do hope he is on probation for a long period of time! Too many celeb children get their problems solved by their parents. They should be made to suffer the consequences for their actions just like any one else. There is no lesson learned when these children are bonded or paid out of jail by their wealthy family. How much freedom does his friend who was with him experience living with severe injuries and permanent disabilities? This child should be made to work in a morgue as his community service so he can see the reality of what can and does happen.

simple fact is nick did his time day for day.no preferentail treatment bucause of his status.he will have to deal with what has happened for the rest of his life.if anyone is a dirtbag it's his mother the drunk druggy runnin with a 19 yr old and draining terry's life savings.

Nicks a good kid. accidents happen i feel bad for his friend. but Nick has grieved over the lost as well and has been punished the parents of the friend should look at all sides their probably isnt as innocent as they would like to think

He crippled his friend for life. Because he decided to be stupid and drag race threw the public roads he should be in prison for a while to think hard for what he did wrong. Celebrities or not you do the crime you do the time. Nicks mom is'nt a good role model to teach him right from wrong plus she is very inmature for being with a 19 boy that could be her sons age. The spoiled brat should have had "GOOD" behavior BEFORE he destroyed his friend's life, and he would not have ended up in joil. He needs some discipline such as a swift kick in the butt. Perhaps, that would jar his brain into thinking with his head. I have NO sympathy for him at all, but do have for his friend. .His status means nothing except he is a celebrity brat who needs to learn a lesson like non famous people.
