  It takes a boy to throw a punch, but it takes a man to walk away. I would knock him on his @$$ if I were her mother or father....Makes me glad I have boys!! And I would knock them on their @$$ if they ever layed a hand on a female in a violent way if their father didn't get to them first!! Run girl!! And pray for any future women that he gets with. Money & fancy clothes do not a man make.

  The scary thing about this entire incident is, it is probably not the first time he has assaulted a female. Hopefully he has been caught early enough to actually be able to do something to better himself as a person. I don't agree with hitting people period, male or female. However, it is almost always true that a female does not stand a chance in a physical confrontation with a male. With that said both of them are young enough to learn from their mistakes so as not to repeat them. I also read Chris Brown's apology and believe that what he really needs is professional counseling of a different kind than that he will receive from his pastor, family and friends. He needs to understand the root of his anger and how to manage it so that he does not go through life hitting people, let alone his significant other. He has learned this behavior somewhere and needs to understand not only that, but also what the triggers are for him in order to keep from loosing his temper to the point of becoming physically violent with someone. The best thing to do with this kind of a situation is to be sure the punishment doled out to him is such that he will not want to repeat this type of incident and will therefore seek professional help. If this situation is taken too lightly it could perpetuate his behavior and ultimately result in a much more severe assault up to and including the death of someone. Rhianna should also consider professional help for herself so that she understands the role she has played in this situation and also, how to be able to possibly identify this type charateristic in a person before it escalates to this type of abuse. I wish them both the best of luck.

  hitting a female does not make a man a thug, cuz i know many of street thugs who do not hit women. it just makes all of the people know how week he is. and chris will get back the violence 10 fold that he dished out. I hope and pray that rihanna breaks it off with him.
