In this Wednesday, May 27, 2009 photo, semifinalist Nobuyuki Tsujii, 20, of Japan, who is blind from birth, rehearses with the Takacs Quartet on the stage at Bass Hall, in preparation for the semifinal round of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, in Fort Worth, Texas. Van Cliburn, the legendary classical pianist and namesake of the prestigious contest held every four years, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Tsujii's playing was "absolutely miraculous" and "truly divine" after hearing him last week.
