the assault is aleged and maybe not true. surely a person is innocent til proven guilty. his mother and sister went to the police the following day, surely if an assault took place the police would be called immediately after the fracas took place...you would think so wouldnt you ???

He probably didn't do it. They just want him to settle out of court for millions of dollars because he's a famous person. He can't prove he didn't assault them, but they also can't prove he did, so they're hoping he will just settle out of court to avoid a trial and such.

sissy and mommy obviously don't think the 5-star dorchester hotel is nice enough for them anymore now that he's such a big star. so they probably want a few million for themselves. Hey, sis and mom, please get your own careers and stop making accusations that only hurt your family.

There's more to this story. Christian Bale is an amazing actor and his family life has nothing to do with his career. If there was enough evidence, he would have been charged. I support the man.

It is a mis underdstanding and the fact that his mother and sister would "press charges" at such an important time for him is selfish, they should be ashamed of themselves, leave the poor guy alone, he is talented and amazing

It's not totally true. I'm sure that Christian Bale won't and never do that. Damn, what's the hell happening? There must be something wrong. I believe that it's not Christian Bale fault. Nothing is clearly now, maybe it's just a accident ; maybe his mom and sister did something so bad, wicked, unforgivable to him. I would still believe in him if all the world didn't believe in him. If Christian Bale was violent , there was no gentleman in the world. Bless him, everything will be alright. Pray for Christian Bale.....

what aleged assault? They got into a yelling match because his mother called his wife and son a name I would go off on my mom for that. Heck bet she has no prob with the money he makes prob just upset she is not gettins as much as his wife

Poor Christian! He should be celebrating his accomplishments and well-deserved success. He's truly a master of his craft and seems like a classy guy! If cussing someone out is crime God help us all! At the end of the he human like the rest of us and I hope that anything negative going on in his life resolves itself and he can find some peace! Your an Ace Christian!

I feel that this is a a completely private matter and should not have any bearing on the movie whatsoever. The media just has to report everything no matter what it is to keep up their ratings.

I don't believe it! I think mom and sis figure that he has really big bucks now that Dark Knight has done so well so why not make him look bad and get a little of the money for ourselves. It's sad that families to that - but they do. We'll just have to wait to see what the truth really is.

I imagine Ledgers spirit temporarily took control of Bales body, he then used the body to beat Bales mother and sister. It's a sad world we live in when an overdosing tool causes trouble from the grave.

We don't understand the situation. We don't know how he or his family is in private. He may be prone to lashing, or his family may willingly grade on his nerves. It may have been some on-going family feud like we all have.

Christian Bale is my favorite actor. He is very multi talented and very underated in our country. This incident to me was very rude by his family. You would think that they could of just worked it out among themselves insteading of going to the police when they knew his movie was going to premiere in Europe. I don't know what they were trying to gain but this does not affect me decision about the movie one bit. I already saw it twice and I plan to see it at least one more time. It is the BEST Batman movie made to date so far! What happened between his family is HIS business, NOT the world's. We are all far from perfect and we all have faults in one way or another. The only difference between Christian Bale and ordinary persons is that HIS life is in the spotlight no matter what he does. He still rules in my books. Great job Mr. Bale. The alleged assualt isn't PHYSICAL it's VERBAL. I feel if he would have left them at home they wouldn't even be going through this. Who calls the cops for being cursed out HA, I mean really people.

He has to right to go off everyone once in a while like all of us, let's just hope our spouse, or children don't follow suit like his mom and sister and call the cops on us.
