I just could not believe what I read this morning about John Edwards and his affair.
There was not one presidential candidate that I believed in more.
John Edwards, in my opinion, has destroyed my faith in him.
I did and would have put everything that I believe in on him.
John Edwards, again in my opinion, has destroyed any hope of the White House in the future.
And for what, I just say a picture of her on CNN, and she is ugly.
John Edwards has deceived his family and the people of this nation. John Edwards is a weak man and is no different then what we have had in the White House with their affairs.
And apparently, he is not a very smart man, to think that he would be able to cheat on his sick wife and family and no one not find out about it.
We already have had plenty of "John Edward's" in the White House using it as their own personal harem.
I really feel for Elizabeth Edwards and his children.
She fought for him for the white house while fighting for her life.
I can understand why she can't leave him, but she should.
I lost all respect for Hillary Clinton because of Bill Clinton and his antics.
Hillary stayed for her own personal political gain. I would never have voted for her.
John Edwards is about as low as a "man" can get.
But then again, he is not a "man".

Rielle Hunter is ugly inside and out - Elizabeth is beauttiful - inner and outer. John Edwards lost his manliness by this act. Would not trust him if he ran for outhouse cleaner.

You people or transferring your anger of your sad life on to this couple. Leave him alone, I am a woman and i understand. And by the way, how do you know Mrs. Edwards is perfect!!! Yes she is ill, so does that mean he must do without sex for the rest of his young life. He loves her more than anything else and if she love him half as much, then she should allow him to have safe sex...just in a less public way!!! Men, are made up different from us. I wis we would stop trying to alter nature. My fellow women, if you don't want your men to cheat...then just leave then the hell alone!!! And say alone for the rest of your life!!! And stop trying to treat them like a trained-dog.

How is her health by the way? I hope she lives a good long time. However, when the campaigning started it was said that her health was in very serious condition again. I hope she is o.k. as far as the sickness goes. The married man went after the woman - not reverse. I always had a very negative opinion of them. I saw them on some talk show when he was running for VP - and they said they had the two younger children because their son was killed in a car accident. How utterly disgusting. I lost my boy of 22 years in a car accident and there is nothing, absolutely nothing that can heal that pain. The decision to have more children was absolutely a shocking, stupid act. I hope the truth comes our about this child he claims is not his, the money that was paid to this woman and the campaign worker who is trying to cover for him.
Where did this money come from???? I wish they would go away and stay that way. -

Kick that hypocritical, cheating, lying, poor excuse for a husband to the curb. You deserve more respect and loyalty than he is able to muster. Think of the example he is setting for your children. Stop enabling him, cut him loose.-
I am sorry that men have hurt you in the past! Why would you take it out on Mr. Edward! Men will be men. The white-house as nothing to do with his personal life. He is young and handsome, why should he have to live without sex!!! If the American public wants a perfect man then they will just of to wait on the LORD and is SON!!! Until then, leave the man alone and go get a life.

My understanding is that Elizabeth stayed because of two things: one, the campaign -- he told her AFTER he'd just started his public run for the presidency and two, knowing her cancer had become incurable, she didn't want her kids, who inevitably will lose their mom, to lose their dad too or to cause the kids even more pain. Elizabeth Edwards is a woman worthy of respect. Sadly, John couldn't give her that. :(

Anyone thinking they are qualified to lead the free world has already demonstrated a huge amount of arrogance. His wife, in remission or not, had very little of him in a supporting role in her struggles.

What kind of president would he have made? His entire candidacy was built on lies upon lies. And his wife was supposed to deal with all that and be supportive of him while he was anything but supportive of her! What a major tragedy that would have been if he were the potential nominee! How would he face dealing with the heads of state in Europe, the Middle East, Asia??? Just go away!!!

I am a North Carolinian and I am ASHAMED of John Edwards. In my opinion, as a North Carolina he did nothing for NC and only looked out for himself - ALWAYS. The inconsideration he had for his family only proves thatl. In addition, I think Reille Hunter is as much a scumbag as he is since she knew he was a married man with a sick wife and children. Apparently they deserve each other since one is as big a piece of trash as the other!!!

I think that people should not judge him! I am a 43 years old woman. It isn't easy being with a spouse that looks more like your parents rather than a wife! plus she had cancer, and he was running for office, the man just needed a little love. It is quite possible that due to the wife's illness she did or couldn't make love to her husband. So, what if he is lying, it really isn't our business. It should remain between him and his wife. I really don't know what is wrong with Americans. NO ONE HIS PERFECT! Lease of all men. We will never be able to change that fact...that is why in biblical times they had more than one wives!!! Leave the man alone. One personal life as nothing to do with ones personal life. The sooner we learn to stop putting people like Mr. Edwards on a high stool the sooner we will have a better country. (Your wife or husband might be cheating on you as we speak...would you like to be judge for that?) I think he needed a bit of loving and he got some...big deal. Did you ever stop to think that, Mrs. Edward is hard to live with?

1-marry a man for the right reason....LOVE
2-Make love to him often
3-keep yourself in good shape
4-Make an effort to be sexy
5-don't try to change him
6-don't become his mother
7-if you happen to age more than him...make an effort to look your best
8-go on dates
9-if you get terminally ill! allow him to have an affair!!! (human or not saints!!! So, why on earth you want John Edwards to remain without making love!!! If you really love your spouse, you would want them to happy!!! Relationships or suppose to be two-sided NOT ONE-SIDED!
...And yes, I am a woman. And yes, i like and respect Mrs. Edwards, however i don't believe she is a victim. -

Elizabeth. I have had two husbands cheat on me and I know the heartache that comes with it. This man has really disappointed alot of folks in America. Who really believes his lies on the Nighline interview? No one!!! -
John Edwards is no different from other men who cheat, they have their reasons for cheating yet never fess up to them. The other woman shouldn't bash the wife, she should bash him. Elizabeth is a fool for forgiving him, but she will anyway, because unfortunately that's what women do.

It would not have been easy, but I would have forgiven him, but sent him packing or at least had him live in separate quarters of the house.
