Tina Fey was incredible. Politics aside...Not only did she sound like her but she looked like her. She was dead on with the impersonation. Both "Sarah and Hillary" were quite funny and I bet Sarah herself probably got a chuckle too, after-all, it's not everyday that you get someone like Tina Fey to impersonate you. It was nice to have something to smile about in leu of the stock market, our 401K's loosing so much money the past months, looming layoffs in Rochester, NY, layoffs without the benefits of previous layoffs, the fall of our 100 year banks, etc. With all that people have to be concerned about, including their upcoming choice in November, it's good to have a light spot this was Saturday Night Live. Personally, I'm scared a lot of what lies ahead and whoever wins November's election with have such a mess on their hands that all of us should do our best to wish them luck and then pull together because, whoever does win will have an Everest to climb, without a rope.

Voted yes, for the record but I am Republican generally (I go by candidate not party though most end up Republican). I thought it was hillarious. Anyone who's watched SNL for any length of time recognizes political satire and this was a divine moment. Kudos, it was a riot and I look forward to more.

An SNL fan, Tina Fay's skit is the closest caricature, as well as, the funniest and poignant delivery I've seen in 20 years.
SNL never fails in its commentary on current events: "I'm just a heartbeat away from the presidency..." Merci Beaucoup. -

snl's ratings have been so bad lately, they will do anything to get viewers back their skits are old and over done. fey should have stayed away, this presidential stuff is only a bandaid for the inevitable.

Seeing Tina Fey and Govenor Palin together on SNL recently was like they both were looking in a mirror. It was amazing.
I find it remarkable when Tina impersonates Govenor Palin so very well. She is hilarious. -

The double standard against Conservative FEMINIST Leaders is shocking. The way that Palin's humor was stretched out of proportion is shocking. The message is clear. Hollywood Aristocrats demand that we all think the same, as obedient slaves to socialism. If you do not, they will hurt your family and you. It is so clear by the huge amount of negative things they manufactured and said about Palin. She got into politics to remove corrupt politicians from office, and that makes a lot of people afraid of her. She balanced Alaska's budget, and created a lock box for emergencies. She even fired a states trooper who abused his wife, and threatened to murder her. So much for the Women's Issues thanks to fakes in the entertainment industry. If you agree with me and not with them, well, your opinion must sit at the back of the blog and you may not have a job in this town.

I find the whole thing distasteful and humiliating. Sarah Palin was treated with no respect through out this whole campaign. Fun is fun but Tina Fey should be ashamed of herself for using Sarah Palin as a gimmick to gain fame for herself. She also aided the press in helping to totally rip Sarah to pieces, and ruin her chances to become the first female president.

Though I wasn't a Palin supporter, I think that Fey's motive was clearly more politcal than comedic, and because it was so, I didn't care for how she treated Palin and Palin's daughter. It spoke of Fey's lack of personal and artistic integrity, and her actions were contrary to a truly pro-feminist stance. Fey could have gone easier on Palin and would have been just as funny ... disappointing.

Tina Fey hit the nail on the head with her portrayal of Palin. Great comic relief - she has a job - and that is to be funny - you can't fault her for doing her job well. We, the people, have made fun of politicians for decades and I don't see any end to that in the near future. It was fate such a juicy role fell in Fey's lap - I applaud her for running with it. She is a good actress - I only wish our politicians were as good at their jobs.
