  • Figures that on a site like The Insider you would have a bunch of ditsy Nicole Kidman fans. It's like, who's your favorite actress, Meryl Streep or Angelina Jolie and the result is overwhelmingly in favor of Jolie. blah.

    First off, Nicole is a pretty movie star but NOT a great actress. I'm sorry, but she doesn't have any range in emotional delivery or character depth. Her voice is this puney little whisper with absolutely no command. See Fur, Birth, Dogville, Margot at the Wedding, The Others, EWS & The Hours for examples of all of the above. I've seen all of those and were immensely unimpressed. The only films I thought she was halfway decent in were Moulin Rouge and Dead Calm. Give me Judy Davis or Cate Blanchett any day of the week. Now THOSE ladies have range, skill, beauty, depth & passion onscreen.

    Naomi Watts has been decent in only one film and that was 21 Grams. Otherwise, she was forced and wooden in The Ring, Mulholland Drive & King Kong. By far the worst thing about those movies!
