THEY DO NOTHING BUT GET FREE PUBLICITY BY CRYING ABOUT THEIR BOUTS WITH ADDICTION. I WENT THRU IT FOR 10 YRS. I BEEN CLEAN FOR OVER 20 YRS. I THINK THEY SHOULDN;T SAY A WORD AND WORK ON THEIR LIVES AND CAREER AND WHEN THEY ARE CLEAN & SOBER FOR 10 YRS.THEY GIVE YOURSELF A PAT ON THE BACK. WE HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO TALK ABOUT , THAT IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD. YOU WANT THE REGULAR GUY TO RESPECT YOU, DO LIKE PITT & JOLINE. TRAVEL ABROUD AND ADOUT KIDS THAT HAVE NO PARENTS AND NEED A CHANCE AT LIFE. STOP DWELLING ON YOUR PAST DRUG ISSUES AND MOVE FOWARD, LEARN WHY YOU DID IT AND STOP MEDICATING YOURSELF AND SEE DR'S TO HELP YOU IF YOU NEED MEDICAL TREATMENT.

Celebrities seem to do more substance abuse than we "mere mortals" and, on top of that, they get special treatment either for their addictions or for crimes they commit. What I'd like to see is a celebrity who really has a problem and who really gets help by going to a real treatment place, not to a fashionable rehab weekend they can later add to their resumes. Sadly, for every Mickey Rourke, who has come through from the other side, we have dozens of Heath Ledgers, Anna Nicole Smiths, Lindsey Lohans and Britney Spears. I don't think celebrities should receive special treatment because they're addicts but that's just a pipe dream (no, not THAT kind of pipe!).

exactly! or the janis joplins, river phoenix the others that we dont know about.
Special treatment...they dont need it. But they can pay for it. Thats the difference. And that brings us back to squareone where it all begins with money. even if you dont have it.
BTW...hats off and a huge pat on the back to anonymous who has been clean for 10 yrs now. Good on you!! way to go!

I really dont like the press, they are always waiting outside some poor celebs door, sort of like a stalker. but they should really get out of their faces!!!!

I wont mention anyone in particular, but its one thing being (thin But toned) and being (thin and skelitol). I see celebrities some time on TV looking like corpses and it is not pritty if anything scary, it sets a bad example to youngsters also, coz they look up to them. But its not jus celebrities that do this it can be normal people too. At the end of the day it boils down to self-confidence.

Celebrities are people just like you and me. I dont condone the drug addictions. But thats what happens when you have loads of money and theres nothing left for you to buy.
I would say one thing in the defense of some of the stars..at least they are checking into rehab for help. Some dont make it that far. I recently viewed the effects drug combinations has on the body. Its shocking.
So if they check in...ok yes they get publicity Its not the kind i think i would want however. Being as we dont know any of them personally my guess is that they wouldnt want the pbulic to know about their troubles.
Lest they be tagged a druggie or whatever. -
Other than just the Music of aerosmith, their soberness if you will has taught me how to handel and deal with those issues with my family. INO these guys will never truly know how much they have helped their fans on many different levels. Thanks. Rock on!

I don't know. I think it's fine. look at how many there are with prescription drug addictions too!

I don't care to hear about there problems, they don't appreciate the wealth and what it's like to be broke, when you don't have it, money can by happiness!
